Finding the faithful
In this sermon from Luke 18:1–8, Jesus tells the parable of the persistent widow and the unjust judge. Through this story, He teaches His disciples that they “ought always to pray and not lose heart.” Even when the world seems dark, when justice feels delayed, and when the faithful are tempted to despair, the Lord calls His people to persevere in prayer to the God who loves to hear them. This message from Pastor Sammie Hargrave reminds us that God is not like the unjust judge — He never wearies of our cries, He delights in our petitions, and He answers His people in perfect mercy and justice. The Lord hears the prayers of His elect, and He will not delay long in bringing justice for them.
